Teaching Assistant

12pm until 6.00pm five days per week

We are now seeking to recruit a highly effective Teaching Assistant to join our successful team. The appointed person will work to deliver high quality support for learning in the Reception Classroom and other years within the Preparatory School and to supervise children within our After School provision.  An Early Years Childcare qualification is essential, as are enthusiasm, reliability and a genuine affinity for working with children.

Childcare Practitioner

Full-time Permanent

The ideal candidates will have a good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, have a childcare qualification up to Level 3 or above and relevant experience within an Early Years setting. We offer a competitive remuneration package in excellent, friendly working conditions, including free uniform and subsidised meals. Many of our staff have been trained to degree level while in our employment and additional training is offered in First Aid and Safeguarding.

There will be shift patterns which include 7:30am - 4:30pm, 8:00am – 6:00pm with half day off, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Support and Office

Assistant Chef

35 weeks a year from September 2022

The School requires an Assistant Chef from 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. The person will assist with the preparation, presentation and serving of all meals to a high standard, along with receiving, checking and monitoring stock. There is a need to understand and cater for a wide range of dietary requirements. Working with the kitchen team and participating in all general catering and dining room duties. This is predominantly a term-time only role, however, there is a requirement to work for a couple of days at the start and finish of the major school holiday periods to help prepare for the following term. There is also an opportunity to provide catering cover at the School Nursery during holiday periods, which will attract additional pay. The Peterborough School is an Independent school in the heart of Peterborough. The successful candidate will be joining a small and happy team that plays a very important and appreciated role in the School.
