Year 8 students were recently given the opportunity, as an extra-curricular English activity, to enter various creative writing competitions. They had been studying Gothic literature and some turned their imaginations to write a mini saga to send chills down their readers’ spines.  Two students, Maija and Findlay, have been chosen to have their work published in a book titled: ‘Spine Chillers - From the Dark’.

Ash, a budding poet, submitted a poem to a different competition inspired by the theme of ‘Imagine’. She will also be published later this year.  All three students have received certificates celebrating their talent for writing. We look forward to receiving a copy of both books in the future, which will be placed in the Senior Library for all students to see.
