The Year 8 girls this week won the District Rounders Tournament, remaining undefeated out of 12 schools.  This excellent achievement means that the girls are now League and District Tournament Champions in Rounders, Netball and Tennis; what a year they have had!

In the Rounders Tournament, the team had a close first match against Nene Park Academy, which made them realise they could not afford to drop a single point in any of the matches.  They had a highly organised fielding team, which was supported by some outstanding hits and superb catches throughout.  They won the pool by five clear points and were ready to face King's in the final.  They played with great confidence and sportsmanship and managed to win by 4 rounders to 3 and a half.  Many congratulations to the team of Abigail Williams, Megan Martin, Sophie Leggott, Tukiya Mukutuma, Paige Harris, Amber Taylor, Scarlet Cooke, Samantha Wellham, Abigael Lucas and Robyn Chapman-Burn.
