RapidFire Profits in Student Investment Challenge
The School's team in the ifs Student Investor Challenge, RapidFire, increased the value of their virtual portfolio by £19,044 over four months.
Well done to The Peterborough School business team, RapidFire, for coming 273rd out of 8,720 teams nationwide after investing £100,00 virtual money in the stock market for four months from October to January.
During this time, the team of four grew their virtual portfolio to £119,044 based on the performance of real companies and actual share prices provided by Bloomberg.
The ifs Student Investor Challenge involved team members Hollie King, Mutazz Hassenbek, Ashna Avda and Hannah Crier buying and selling shares after making judgements about financial news and the profitability of companies.
