After weeks of rehearsals the whole school came together this week to take part in the Battle of the Bands. Four bands performed, one each from Mandela, Newton, Eliot and Spencer, with special guest judge Patrick Johns, radio producer and musician, adjudicating. 

It was a fantastic event, with each house performing two songs with backing vocals provided by the whole house in the second song performed. Following some deliberation it was announced that Spencer house had won this year’s tough competition following their rendition of 'Imagine' by John Lennon and '(I'm gonna be) 500 miles' by The Proclaimers. 

The event ended with a special performance from the Prep School Baby Band, entertaining the crowd with their version of 'Feel it still' by Portugal. The Man, following on from their performance at last week’s Charity Concert.
